China's Nike branch announced recently that around two thousand pairs of children's shoes floating in the market were unfit for use. They said they will take back those pairs at the earliest.

Nike officials said these children shoes have a small rubber hoop in the back. If this hoop is swallowed by a child, it may prove fatal, the officials added. The shoes were sold between June and August at US $35-$45 a pair.

All buyers who purchased shoes with code numbers 308638, 308639, 30864 and 308647 have been asked to return it to the company as soon as possible.
