Bureau of Statistic released Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures for the second quarter of 2007 where it reached 147.86, related to 2001 prices, compared to 145.42 during the first quarter of the same year i.e. an increase of 1.67 %.
The increase concentrated mainly on garments and footwear group, where the growth was 3.95% , while it reach 2.08 % for the group of rent, fuel and energy compared to first quarter of 2007 A relative stability was observed in the rent market during second quarter compared to the proceeding one, where the increase in this group reached 9.24%.
This is followed by an increase of 1.71% for the group of entertainment, recreation, culture and likewise.
