As new Head of Group Communications Arnd Wagner has assumed responsibility for communications at Clariant effective August 1, 2007. He was Head of Communications of Amgen International in Europe since 2005.
Prior to this function he served as Head of Communications of Aventis Europe and Head of Communications of Aventis Industrial Operations.
From 1989 to 1997 he held various positions at ABB including Internal Communications for ABB in Switzerland and Assistant to the President of ABB in Germany.
Arnd Wagner succeeds Walter Vaterlaus, Chief Communications Officer, who has decided to continue his career as Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at Nycomed, an international pharmaceutical company which – after the acquisition of Altana Pharma – has moved its headquarters from Copenhagen/Denmark to Zurich/Switzerland. Mr. Vaterlaus was leading communications at Clariant from 1995 to 2001 and since 2004.
