Special thanks were addressed to Mr. Vogt-Jordan as President of the Advisory Board who was Chairman of the organization for almost eight years, too, and significantly shaped the development of the Institute. During the subsequent session of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Dr. Walla was elected as Chairman and Mr. Wellmann as Vice-Chairman successfully leading to an alliance of the traditional theme “cotton” and new fibre compound technology as well as linking the existing textile-shaped network with new fields of application.
With the amendment of the statutes, the election of a new Board of Directors became necessary, too. The Head of the Institute shall assume the function as Chairman of the Board; up to two further persons can join him as members of the Board. The Board of Trustees appointed the following people as members of the Board of Directors:
• Mr. Professor Dr. Axel S. Herrmann (Chairman)
• Mr. Axel Drieling
• Mr. Christoph Hoffmeister
Mr. Drieling will therefore be able to represent invigorated the international cotton affairs which are conducted in cooperation with the Bremen Cotton Exchange.
