Scotland's retailers are invited to take part in the only Awards specifically designed to reward exceptional achievement in the nation's retail sector.
Now in its second year the Scottish Retail Excellence Awards were created by the Scottish Daily Record and Scottish Business Insider, with support from the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC), to honour the retail sector's top achievers and to recognise excellence in all areas of retail throughout Scotland.
The awards recognise those that have shown the vision, customer focus, leadership and innovation that exemplify the best within the sector. They are open to all retailers from large multiples and department stores through to independents, whether based in towns, cities or in rural areas.
Entry is free and there are nine categories of competition: • Newcomer of the Year • Retail Innovation of the Year • Store Manager of the Year • Independent Retailer of the Year • Responsible Retailer of the Year • Shopping Destination of the Year • Tourism Retailer of the Year • National Chain of the Year • Retailer of the Year
SRC Director Fiona Moriarty said: "Retail is the cornerstone of the Scottish economy, employing more than a quarter of a million people and generating more than £21bn every year. Scotland is deservedly proud of its retail offering and the quality of the shopping experience right across the country is testament to the hard work of the nation's retailers."
