Durable consumer goods rose by 1.8% in the euro area and 3.0% in the EU27. Non-durable consumer goods gained 1.8% and 1.5% respectively. The energy sector fell by 0.9% in the euro area and by 1.0% in the EU27.
In June 2007, and among the Member States for which data are available, industrial production rose in eighteen Member States and fell in three.
The highest increases were registered in Bulgaria (+14.6%), Slovakia (+12.0%), Slovenia (+10.0%) and Poland (+7.8%), while decreases were recorded in Denmark (-2.1%), France (-1.3%) and Italy (-0.1%).
