Consumer prices down 0.2% from June to July

The inflation rate was 1.9% in July (1.7% in July 2006). Swedish consumer prices decreased on average by 0.2% from June to July. The CPI for July 2007 is 289.49 (1980=100).

Lower prices within clothing and shoes (-8.4%) contributed downwards with 0.5 percentage points to the monthly change.

In July, the underlying inflation rate according to UND1X was 1.0% (1.0% in June). The inflation rate according to UNDINHX was 1.6% (1.6% in June).

The monthly changes were -0.3% according to UND1X and 0.2% according to UNDINHX. The Harmonised Index (HICP) decreased by 0.3% since June.

The inflation rate according to HICP was 1.4% in July 2007. The Net Price Index decreased by 0.2% since June and has increased by 2.4% compared to July 2006.
