On the sidelines of the meeting, Mrs Marcoullis met with the EU Representative of the international troika on the issue of Kosovo, Mr Wolfgang Ischinger following his initiative, who briefed her on the progress of the negotiations regarding the definition of the status of Kosovo and the next steps that are expected on the issue.
Mrs Marcoullis presented the positions of Cyprus at length, expressing in particular our country's concerns and strong objections regarding the possibility of taking decisions, which will not be mutually accepted by the sides directly involved and which will not be adopted through a decision of the UN Security Council and in the framework of the UN Charter.
Mrs Marcoullis also had meetings with her counterparts from Slovakia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
