On an annual basis production for Manufacturing Industries for July 2007 was 14.4% higher than in July 2006. The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three month period May to July 2007 was 0.5% lower than the preceding three month period.
The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for July 2007 of 20.5%, while an increase of 1.5% was recorded in the “Traditional” Sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index for manufacturing industries was 5.9% lower in the three month period May to July 2007 when compared with the preceding three month period On an annual basis turnover in July 2007 was 5.7% higher when compared with July 2006.
