Right on schedule for the ITMA, Rieter is offering the latest state of evolution in rotor spinning: the automated R 40 rotor spinning machine with up to 500 rotors. Energy consumption per kilogram of yarn produced is at an unbeatably low level. ComfoRo yarns produced on the R 40 with outstanding piecing quality set the standard. The R 40 thus significantly extends its lead in terms of productivity and economy in rotor spinning machines.
Rotor speeds of up to 160 000 rpm and delivery speeds of up to 270 m/min are possible with the R 40, even at its full length of 68 meters. The latest developments in drive and control concepts have enabled this high productivity potential to be achieved in the smallest possible space. Modern heat dissipation concepts protect the electronics even at high ambient temperatures.
Intensive trials in customers' mills in recent months confirm the success of this development. Several spinning mills took advantage of this opportunity to make their own comparisons with competitors' latest machines. The result was quite clear: due to its modern spinning technology combined with the extremely high efficiency of the robots, the R 40 offers a significant lead in productivity.
Even in the event of large numbers of ends down, the efficiency of a long R 40 with 4 robots usually stays above 97%. By contrast, machines with 4 mechanical automated units and conventional piecing systems only achieve efficiencies of less than 92% in comparable conditions.
