Three high-speed robots for the R 40 rotor spinning

The third robot can change sides rapidly via the familiar, short loop. Here the robot does not hamper any operating personnel performing work where time is critical. At the same time the loop serves as a maintenance station for the third robot.
The mill-proven service station for the R 40 with 4 robots has been adopted for the other two robots: each robot has its own maintenance position on its side of the tailstock. This ensures that all spinning positions are served by robots, regardless of which robot is being serviced. Machine efficiency does not decline during maintenance work.
Operating ranges with three robots can also be set variably and - if required - overlapping.
Our customers can also increase the flexibility of the R 40 further at a later date. R 40 machines with two robots can be upgraded later to 3 or 4 robots and with the special service station. However, this upgrade is much easier and faster if preparations for it have already been included in the initial machine specification.
Rieter's R 40 rotor spinning machine already offers very high production potential with up to 500 rotors, rotor speeds of up to 160 000 rpm and delivery speeds of up to 350 m/min. The new option of 3 robots per machine is intended - in common with many of the machine's other features - to ensure maximum economy in spinning mills.
Increasing numbers of customers are making direct comparisons with other suppliers, and they confirm that the R 40 offers crucial advantages, precisely due to its well-conceived detail solutions for machine operation in day-to-day production.
