Managing director Richard Armitage emphasises, however, that the flexibility of the PC-based approach means expansion into other process areas is likely.
One of the biggest and most successful of the British textile machinery producers is the carpet machine specialist Cobble Blackburn. The company says it has always exhibited at ITMA shows “since they consistently draw existing and potential customers from a wider base than other shows, which tend to be regional in nature.”
New from Cobble at ITMA is the latest pattern attachment, known as the Yarn Feed Variator. This comprises a series of rollers, effectively constituting an electronic variation on the well-known eccentric disc attachment.
It produces small pattern effects by adding or subtracting yarn from a continuous supply, using oscillating guides controlled by servo motors.
In the synthetic fibre sector, Fibreguide of Macclesfield, has built an impressive reputation on the strength of its jets for wide-ranging fibre processing applications. Among ITMA innovations is a range of new and optimised air jets, as well as new polyurethane twisting discs.
The FG10E Multi Position & Single Jets for Extrusion Spinning offer high performance system for POY, FDY and SDY processing.
The NEW FGT jet for DTY and air covering is an open/close jet incorporating an air on/off system. The FGT is now available with a new range of jet cores offering a range of interlace performance from very strong nodes for non-size warp applications to very soft, high frequency interlace for micro denier yarns for critical fabric applications.
The new FD1 Polyurethane twisting discs offer reduced run in times combined with long operating life and excellent performance.
