Inditex & ITGLWF to oversee proper labour standards

The agreement framework between Inditex and ITGLWF has been put on hold until today due to the audit and control of the fulfilment of the Code of Conduct for Manufacturers and External Workshops and the emergency programmes developed by Inditex.
From now on, Inditex and ITGLWF will strengthen this collaboration, focussing on education of workers, the freedom of association and the right to collective negotiation.
Inditex and ITGLWF will also commit themselves to conduct an investigation in the event of a breach of the Code, thus creating an immediate remedy. Furthermore, suppliers affiliated with Inditex will also be informed of the agreement and ITGLWF will in turn do the same with all its associated organisations.
