With the theme "WTO Integration" written by Doctor Pham Thi Thu Hang, Director of the Enterprise Development Institute under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the report analyses radical changes in the business environment and competitiveness of some representative industries, based on annual business database.
The report also analyses enterprises' business activities in four major aspects: labour, finance (capital), technology and market access. Eight industries are selected for analysis, including apparel, automobile, insurance, banking, telecommunication, sea transport, aquaculture and electronics.
Together with analysis of industry's internal issues, the report focuses on analysing the WTO integration environment in order to define opportunities and challenges for these eight industries, and then introduce strategic solutions.
Ms Hang also said that besides the annual panorama, the report will choose a research theme based on the actual business situation. VCCI will focus on the theme "Human resources" next year, a hot issue for almost all Vietnamese enterprises currently.
