Clariant announced the acquisition of Toschem, a leading supplier of chemicals and services to the Oil & Gas and Industrial Water Treatment markets in Colombia. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the deal.
In addition, Clariant has further invested in a new site at Cota-Bogota in order to combine and therefore manage more effectively the existing office, laboratory and production facilities of Clariant in Colombia.
Clariant is a market leader in supplying chemicals and providing services to the oil and gas industry. The acquisition of Toschem marks the most recent step in realizing the global growth strategy for Clariant Oil Services. The oil and gas industry in Colombia has been continuously growing over the last decade and therefore provides additional market opportunities for Clariant.
