These increases in productivity together with high web uniformity are an important prerequisite of the new Hyperlacing technology for “intense needling”.
The term “intense needling” in the context of Hyperlacing technology means an extreme increase in needle and penetration density with a simultaneous reduction of the fibre transport per stroke.
This results in an excellent entanglement of the individual fibres in the web, high resistance against abrasion forces and best surface quality without markings.
Hyperlacing is realized by the newly developed Cyclopunch units with approx. 20.000 needles/m/board. The needle barb is adapted to the fibre fineness in order to transport only one single fibre.
A new kinematics moves the needle on a circular path resulting in an increase of throughput speed to more than 100 m/min. The Hyperlacing process allows production of light-weight felts made from fine fibres at an area weight as low as approx. 30 g/m² with high throughput speeds. These products are used in the fields of medicine, hygiene, synthetic leather, interlinings and filter media.
As an alternative to the HyperLine Dilo showed the AlphaLine consisting of Alpha Feed, AlphaCard, Dilo-Layer and the Alpha model series for the needlelooms.
This line attracted a great number of visitors during ITMA because we have succeeded in creating a cost-efficient alternative for medium through-puts with web speeds of up to 80 m/min. by reducing the technical complexity.
Special emphasis should be laid on the Dilo-Layer which completes the crosslapper programm of the DiloGroup and represents a standard universal machine for crosslapping tasks. Web infeed speeds of up to 160 m/min. may be realized with improved layering precision and a competitive price-performance ratio.
The DiloGroup as market leader presented on ITMA's biggest booth numerous innovations to a great number of visitors from all over the world. We were able to welcome 50 % more visitors compared to ITMA 2003.
Furthermore the total order value of more than 20 million Euros was higher than expected. We received orders not only for one large needleloom but also for four complete production lines.
This shows the confidence of customers worldwide in DiloGroup as market leader for machines and installations for the production of nonwovens.
