The east coast of Florida did experience strong easterly winds much of the week. By end-week, the storm was moving rapidly up the East Coast, intensifying into a minimal hurricane and providing strong winds to coastal areas and significant beach erosion.

Consumer Impact in the East/Mid-Western North America: Seasonably cooler temperatures did spur strong selling of seasonal items due to a strong pent-up demand environment.
