c_change is a water and windproof membrane technology which is capable of independent flexible adaptation of its moisture vapor permeability. In doing so, it reacts in a way similar to that of a pine cone which opens and closes in response to different weather conditions.

As soon as the ambient temperature rises, or greater moisture is produced as a result of body heat, the polymer structure of the membrane opens and allows excess moisture to escape to the outside air.

As soon as the body produces less heat energy and therefore less moisture, the membrane structure contracts again storing body heat and offering protection from chilling and shivering. In addition, c_change offers moisture vapor permeability at the highest level.

Great choice in looks and added performance by SFTC
The c_change membrane is presented in the current fabric range by Schoeller FTC as very versatile and often in combination with the self-cleaning NanoSphere finish. This innovative technology is available in a variety of non-elastic qualities for jackets as well as articles with crossways elasticity and from very light to heavier weights.

Great choice is offered by the diverse optics starting with plain surfaces or comb structures and different dobby interpretations. Also available are c_change fabrics with a very natural allure, a little and elegant shine, a paper effect, an embossed appearance and fabrics in bright and eye-catching colors.

Schoeller FTC (sftc) is a joint venture between the leading Swiss textile technology company Schoeller Textil AG and one of the largest woven textile companies in Taiwan, the Formosa Taffeta Group.

In 2001 the joint venture started with a couple of fabric types, mixing Schoeller's state-of-the-art technologies with Formosa's huge production capacity. Today the SFTC-range offers versatile styles for the sportswear, lifestyle and casual segment, as well as for workwear, luggage and home textiles.

Technologies used by SFTC include the selfcleaning NanoSphere finishing process; the advanced moisture management system 3XDRY and the bionic climate membrane-technology c_change.
