The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) was honored with nine Excellence Awards at the Minnesota Magazine & Publications Association Excellence Awards Gala on Nov. 1, 2007, in Minneapolis, Minn.
IFAI won three gold, three silver, and three bronze Excellence Awards. These nine awards recognized six of IFAI's seven magazines, and were the most MMPA Excellence Awards IFAI has received in a single year.
Gold: Best Directory category, circulation under 60,000 to Industrial Fabric Products Review Buyer's Guide 2007 (May 2007)
Judges commented, "This directory fulfills its mission. It presents lots of information, and it's organized in a logical way. Even an industry outsider can find the products and manufacturers that offer them. In addition, the high-quality paper stock will hold up all year long."
Gold: Visuals/Illustration category, association, circulation under 30,000 to Fabric Architecture (January/February 2007) for the article "Thinking like a Raindrop"
Judges commented, "The illustrations really help the reader understand the subjfect of the article, and they're useful and relevant to the story. They're also well-executed and well-integrated with the other elements."
Gold: Best How-To Article category, association, circulation under 30,000 to Marine Fabricator (January/February 2007), for the article "Crafting an All-Purpose Settee Berth"
Judeges commented, "This piece flows nicely and is comprehensive. I love the anecdotes and asides the author uses. It is obvious that the author has personal experience doing exactly what is described."
