Acrylic fibers are synthetic fibres made from a polymer (Polyacrylonitrile). It is lightweight, soft and warm, and sometimes appears similar to wool and cotton. It is resilient, retains its shape, and resists shrinkage and wrinkles and dyes very well and has excellent colorfastness.
On November 6, Shanghai Petrochemical offered prices for acrylic staple fiber.
1.5 D staple at 19,800 yuan per ton, 3 D staple at 19,500 yuan per ton, 7 D and longer at 19,650 yuan per ton, 3 D high shrinkage (28 percent) at 19,600 yuan per ton.
