On an annual basis production for Manufacturing Industries for September 2007 was 4.3% higher than in September 2006. The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three month period July to September 2007 was 7.8% higher than the preceding three month period.
The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for September 2007 of 5.8%, while an increase of 1.8% was recorded in the “Traditional” Sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index for manufacturing industries was 0.3% higher in the three month period July to September 2007 when compared with the preceding three month period On an annual basis turnover in September 2007 was 3.5% higher when compared with September 2006.
