Vietnam National Textile and Apparel Group (VINATEX) recently reported that it produced 130.4 million meter square of woven fabric in the first nine months this year. The output rose by 1.7 percent in comparison to the same period 2006.
Leading producers of woven fabric including Ha Noi Textile and Garment Corporation, Phong Phu Corporation, Phuoc Long Textile Joint Stock Company, Viet Thang Textile Joint Stock Company and Nam Dinh Garment Company have obtained strong growth, resulting this growth.
In the period, these enterprises seemed to make no new investment, but they remain the leading manufacturers of the product, a local expert said.
The VINATEX also produced 4.6 thousands tons of knitted fabric during this period, posting a year–on–year growth of 23 percent.
