From January to August, the exports of six printing and dyeing product categories achieved 7.47 billion meters, an increase of 2.78 percent over the same time last year, export volume growth rate rebounded. Export value completed $6.481 billion, up 9.44 percent over the same period a prior year.
The major categories structure of export products is changing. Among main export products, the proportion of synthetic filament fabric in six printing and dyeing categories increased from 49.28 percent in 2002 to 56.99 percent in 2006; the proportion of cotton printing and dyeing cloth declined from 26.81 percent in 2002 to 12.18 percent; T / C printing and dyeing cloth share reduced from 23.91 percent in 2002 to 17.15 percent.
The competitiveness of products has been continually raised. The average export price of six printing and dyeing cloth categories increased from $0.72 per meter in 2002 to $0.83 per meter in 2006. Among which, the average export price of cotton printing and dyeing cloth lifted from $0.94 per meter in 2002 to $1.12 per meter in 2006.
T / C printing and dyeing cloth price climbed from $0.47 per meter in 2002 to $0.66 per meter. The export price of synthetic filament fabrics advanced from $0.71 per meter to $0.76 per meter in 2006, and again up to $0.79 per meter from January to August this year.
