In the case of smaller scale projects undertaken by rural microentrepreneurs, the program may finance up to 80 percent of the cost of eligible investments, with a $20,000 minimum and a $50,000 maximum.

In both cases, eligible investments include technical assistance, productive or basic infrastructure linked to projects (such as a power connection), equipment and business development services.

The program will also help DINADERS improve the coordination of public investments in rural development, which currently involve numerous projects financed largely by several foreign aid organizations.
