Chief executive officer of the Suzhou Group Mr Tageldin says the four production lines between them handle every aspect of yashmagh and ghuttra production, starting from the yarn through to the final product and including dyeing, finishing, and packing.
“The packaged product that leaves here is in the final form in which it is sold to the consumer,” he says. “We control the quality every single step along the way.”
Two Monforts stenters were installed when Suzhou Deylon started, so that simultaneous production of the yashmagh and the ghuttra could take place.
“We had for a long time been doing business with China, and decided to open our own factory,” says Mr Tageldin. “Business is based on quality textiles, and with very precise specifications for dyeing. We had to have the very best manufacturing equipment, and had no hesitation in purchasing two Monforts stenters when we first opened.
“The results were excellent. Production is rising to meet the demand from our markets, and we have now installed a further two Montex stenters, taking the total to four.”
All four Monforts machines are eight chamber machines and were ordered through Monforts representative in China, K & E Company Ltd of Hong Kong.
