Small growth in manufacture of textiles in Nov

According to Statistics Estonia, the industrial production in November 2007 decreased compared to October of the present year but increased compared to November of the previous year.

In November 2007, the seasonally adjusted industrial production of Estonia fell 1% compared to October. In comparison with November of the previous year, the industrial production increased 4%, in manufacturing 2%. The rapid growth lasted in energy production and mining.

In November compared to November of the previous year, the small growth in manufacturing continued. The sector of industry holding the largest share. The production grew in all branches of machinery and apparatus manufacturing, mainly due to increase in exports.

Compared to November of the previous year, the growth of production was the highest in the manufacture of precision instruments (37%). The production of furniture is in stable small growth.

In November the small growth was in the manufacture of textiles, because of the increase in the production of sewn textile articles, while the production of yarn and fabric continues to decrease. The production of chemicals and building materials remained on the level of the previous year.
