As an initial assessment based on 3 days closure and the annual export of the Garment Sector being US$ 3.35 bill, Pakistan's Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association estimates that the working loss of the Garment Sector for the 3 days comes to approximately Rs. 2,07 bill (US$ 33,7 mill) where other penalties such as shipment delays, loss of business/orders etc are not included.
The total estimated loss is yet to be finalized on receiving reports from garment units on the actual physical damage (infrastructure, machinery, vehicles, material etc).
