Huntsman Polyurethanes to raise MDI products prices in Europe

Huntsman Corporation announced that its Polyurethanes Division will increase prices in the Europe Region for all MDI products and related systems by €150/tonne, effective April 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. The Europe Region also includes Africa, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.
Nick Webster, Vice President Europe Region for Huntsman Polyurethanes said: “Since the start of this year we have seen raw materials costs reach record high levels, and also accelerating demand for MDI and polyurethanes systems across all markets, especially to meet the need for better insulation.
We must implement this price increase to ensure margins that achieve re-investment economics to support customers' growth.”
