Wal-Mart Stores to host vendor fairs in Montreal & Quebec City

"All are very happy to welcome Wal-Mart," said Pierre Dolbec, President of the Quebec Chamber of Commerce. "These events will attract a wide range of companies, including 4,000 members, to see how they can do business with the largest retail company in the world."
Manufacturers and suppliers of clothing, household goods and accessories, toys, hardware products, paint and wallpaper, automotive accessories, electronics, sporting goods, furniture, horticultural goods, cosmetics, jewelry and foodstuffs will be attracted to the events.
Established in 1994 and headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Wal-Mart Canada operates a growing network of 261 outlets nationwide. In recent years more than 100 Canadian communities have lobbied or petitioned to have a Wal- Mart built in their towns. The company employs more than 60,000 Canadians and has been ranked the best retailer to work for in Canada three out of the past four years by international human-resources firm Hewitt Associates and Report on Business Magazine.
