Viscose fiber producer Lenzing Group released the new edition of “Sustainability in the Lenzing Group.

This second publication presents the company group achievements in the fields of ecology, social responsibility and economy.

Sustainability
“Sustainability is a living reality for the Lenzing Group. It is my conviction that our commitment to environmental and social responsibility is the prerequisite for our success” states Christian Reisinger, member of the Lenzing management board and responsible for issues concerning ecology and sustainability.

The Lenzing Group understands sustainability as securing high-quality production in an ecologically sound environment. In this sense, Lenzing tries to balance aspects of ecology, social responsibility and economy, which occasionally come into conflict with each other.Long-term competitiveness of value addition, fair sharing of resources, social responsibility and an appropriate work environment are central issues.

Economy
The Lenzing Group has evolved from a European textile fiber manufacturer into a global player–last but not least by the acquisition of the Tencel Group. This success is based on clear market positioning, a future-oriented growth strategy and a clear focus on local presence and innovation.

Environment
The Lenzing Group sets high standards for ecologically sound production at all its sites. Moreover, Lenzing's environmental policy is foresighted, and that includes responsible, anticipatory and sound handling of resources as a central sustainability criterion.
