Retail turnover decrease in clothing, footwear & textiles

Compared to January, retail trade turnover in February, after the turnover decrease in previous months, has grown by 2.4%1, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau. Retail trade of non-food products – by 2.6%.

The most rapid increase was recorded in retail trade of furniture – by 5.1%, but decrease was observed in retail trade enterprises selling mainly cosmetics – by 0.8%, and in retail trade enterprises selling clothing, footwear and textiles - by 1.2%.

Compared to January 2007, retail trade turnover has grown by 1%, moreover for non-food sellers – it has increased by 2.7%.

Compared to corresponding period of previous year, in January – February retail trade turnover has increased by 0.2%, in enterprises selling mainly non-food products – increased by 1.8%.
