The Swiss textiles and garments industry demands of performance sports, sportswear and fashion merge in the Fabric Collection Spring/Summer 2006. One of the highlights: the lightest soft-shell in the world.

Sportswear is becoming more chic while casual wear enticingly beckons with increased functionality. Or to put it another way: Schoeller reinvents and redefines multifunction in Spring/Summer 2006. And Schoeller Switzerland provides an individualized stage for this clothing trend with highly-functional and motion-oriented feelgood soft-shells and sporty shape fabrics whose brilliant presentation stirs the emotions, leaving nobody out in the cold.

One of the main players is the world's lightest softshell at just 72 g/m2 with a high level of next-to-skin comfort. In addition, Schoeller is also displaying “sports jewels“ in silver and gold and highly breathable, windproof and durable WB-400 fabrics with a high level of UV protection and the softest touch. With a close, second-skin feel, the whisperquiet cozy soft dryskin fabrics combine the major comfort of soft-shell with extreme abrasion resistance and the fashionable light luster effect. In terms of optic appeal, “frosted-glass transparency “, “power-metallics“, the “cosmetic look“ and fabrics with a “double life” have been assigned a major role.

Additional important features are light crêpe structures or the silky satin surfaces in cotton blends. Simple and “soft-spoken” describe some lightweights with a smooth surface and playful sheen in the dynamic, dryskin and stretchlight fabric lines. “Action on stage“ is insured by the optically-balanced falland abrasion-tested protective fabrics with comfortable 4-way stretch, cotton content, NanoSphere stain protection, a soft hand and a light weight. The spotlight is also on chic denim qualities and the attractive 3D look of soft dynatec fabrics, NanoSphere treatment and an appealing feel as well as semi-transparent monofilament fabrics for shoes and seating.
