With regard to fabric production in the decentralized sector, the total production increased from 24631 MSM during April-December 2006-2007 to 25362 MSM during the period under review. The production of cotton fabric was 7416 (7184); blended fabric was 3635 (3893) and 100% non-cotton fabric was 14312 (13554) MSM.
Meanwhile, the fabric production in the decentralized hosiery sector has increased from 8517 MSM in April-December 2006-07 to 8780 MSM during the period under review. The production of cotton fabric was 7378 (7101); blended fabric 1088 (1017) and 100% non-cotton fabric was 314 (399) MSM.
