In the later period of March, performance of overall yarn market was still dull. Market confidence began to decline. In Shao Xiao region, mainstream item knitting yarn 21s was quoted at 18,200 yuan / ton, 32s at 19,400 yuan / ton, combed yarn 32s for middle and high market at 23000-23300 / ton 32s for lower market at 22200-22300 yuan / ton.
Open-end yarn was unsalable, inventories were huge, market prices were volatile. Being influenced by some unfavorable factors, like RMB appreciation, meager export margin, less orders from lower reaches, domestic market was not brisk when entering the traditional peak season of April. Polyester yarn market is expeceted to stay in correction with small improvement both in trade volume and price.
