Very good performance in continuous operation PPS-based filter bags have been successfully demonstrating their excellent filtration properties in continuous operation for many years. They exhibit very good resistance to gases and acids, even at high temperature, filter particulates reliably, have excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance, and are also inherently flame-retardant.
A needlefelt filter is used for dust separation. It is cleaned at regular intervals by the jet pulse system, which operates like a “pneumatic carpet beater”. The filters have to withstand temperatures between 0 and 100°C in normal operation and short-term peaks up to 140°C.
