The Chinese Ministry of Commerce released import and export results of Shanghai.
According to statistics, in Jan through Aug, import and export of Shanghai amounted to US$119.1 billion, up by 16.21 percent compared with the same period of last year. Of which import reached US$60.6 billion, up by 7.49 percent compared with the same period of last year.
Export amounted to US$58.4 billion, up by 26.9 percent. Export of textile was US$8.7 billion, up by 13.66 percent compared with the same period of last year. Export of electromechanical products was US$38.1 billion, up by 28.74 percent. Export of high-tech products was US$22.1 billion, up by 26.74 percent compared with the same period of last year.
