After the successful completion of ShanghaiTex 2005, there were numerous requests from textile enterprises to hold ShanghaiTex annually, to enable them to have a timely review the latest, innovations in textile technology and equipment near their production base.
ShanghaiTex 2006, the 12th International Exhibition on Textile Industry, will be held from July 5 to 8, 2006 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. ShanghaiTex 2006 will emphasize the most advanced textile technologies from China and overseas. ShanghaiTex 2007 will to be held in June 2007, with a forecasted exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. ShanghaiTex will continue to focus on setting high international standards for the Fair.
Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC) is jointly invested by Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd. and the Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai. The SIEC was founded on July 1st, 1984 with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation and the People's Government of Shanghai Municipality.
The SIEC is a full member of Union des Foires Internationales (UFI). With the total exhibition space of 5.8 million square meters, the SIEC has held 500 international exhibitions of various themes and sizes. It also has successfully held a number of solo exhibitions at national level.
