Maoming ethylene plant of Sinopec in Guangdong City has recently restarted its 2nd ethylene unit, which was shut for two weeks due to a major fire broke out at the factory.
Uptill now, only 40 percent of the facility, with yearly production capacity of 640,000 ton, has resumed working.
Sources from the plant informed, Maoming is Sinopec's second-largest refinery, and this fire had caused a loss of near about 6,50,000 ton per annum. However, experts are optimistic that the losses would be covered with out much difficulty.
