DyStar Textile Solutions for Microban antimicrobial application

DyStar announced a new partnership agreement with Huntersville, USA, based Microban International Ltd. The agreement names DyStar as the exclusive, global distributor of Microban antimicrobial technologies for the textile industry, beginning September 1, 2008.
“Microban is the global leader in antimicrobial product protection and our partnership brings together the antimicrobial and brand expertise of Microban with the leading position of DyStar as solutions provider for the textile sector,” states Alan Cunningham, Vice President Textile Solutions at DyStar.
DyStar has an unparalleled global presence with sales, technical service, laboratories, distribution centers and production facilities in over 50 countries around the world. DyStar's excellent position in key markets and relationships with textile mills, retailers and branded manufacturers enables both companies to effectively introduce Microban's broad range of antimicrobial technologies.
The two companies will focus together on providing their customers with custom antimicrobial solutions designed to meet their unique needs for performance, durability and environmental stewardship.
The Microban brand is found on over 750 products of leading manufacturers across a breadth of industries including consumer products, building materials, foodservice, commercial products, healthcare and textiles.
