Cotton accruals at TCP godown starts

With the new cotton pouring in the market Trading Corporation of Pakistan has started procuring cotton from ginners.

Till December 24, TCP has made contracts for procurement of 4,94,200 bales of cotton from ginners, as sampling and grading of cotton has been completed.

While speaking exclusively to Fibre2fashion.com, Mr Khizar Hayat, Deputy Manager (Public Relations) Trading Corporation of Pakistan Pvt Ltd, told, “The despatches of cotton from TCP's cotton procurement centre has started and near about 4,400 bales arrived in our godown at Karachi.”

From Punjab, TCP has obtained 3,34200 bales of cotton; from Sindh - 1,59,600 and from Baluchistan it is 400 bales.

TCP is doing this activity on daily basis. Presently they are stocking the cotton bales which will either be exported or be used for domestic consumption as per the requirement.
