Braskem to restart naphtha cracker by month end

The world-class Brazilian petrochemical company, Braskem, has decided to begin restart process of naphtha cracker by the end of this month.

Speaking to Fibre2fashion.com, Company sources informed that the plant is located in Triunfo Complex in Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. The cracker that comprises of two units was shut down since last December.

Cracker 1 with a production capacity of 720,000 mt per year went off-stream because of diminishing demand for ethylene products both in domestic and international market.
