The business situation at the domestic market was still quite depressed in the week under report. The firmer tendency of both, the futures market as well as of the effective cotton prices allowed just selective purchases by the spinning mills.
Enquiries hardly concerned dates beyond the 2nd quarter respectively, beginning of the 3rd quarter 2009. Since the market development is absolutely unclear later delivery- / shipping terms were at present not on demand.
Turnovers in the Upland range were reported as follows: Central Asian sorts, West African styles and Greek descriptions, all for the 2nd quarter 2009.
In the LS/ELS range were traded: Egyptian GIZA 86 for the 2nd quarter 2009.
