IMB - World of Textile Processing is used by companies and associations as a platform on which they can exploit the leading trade fair's great external impact and present themselves in a way that attracts public attention.

Exhibitors from all over the world appreciate the broad international scope of IMB - World of Textile Processing and take advantage of this opportunity to present innovations in a way that attracts public attention. The world's leading global trade fair for the textile processing industry commenced on April 21, 2009.

Numerous radio and television teams were on hand in Cologne to report on the event. The winner of the first day of the fair was SizeGermany for its new German size measurements. "Even though the results of the study have been in since late February, we kept them back on purpose in order to exploit the media significance of IMB and draw as much attention to us as possible. And IMB gave us no cause to be disappointed," said one of the initiators of the study.

Many associations such as the International Apparel Federation (IAF) took advantage of IMB's appeal to hold membership meetings in Cologne. In addition, IMB 2009 will serve as the venue for the presentation of the results of the EU's L.E.A.P.F.R.O.G. research project (Leadership for European Apparel Production From Research along Original Guidelines), which is being managed by Euratex. IMB 2009 - World of Textile Processing is being held in Halls 6 to 9 of the Cologne exhibition center until Friday, April 24.
