The local market showed little activities during the past week. Enquiries from mill buyer's side served mostly for price comparison and did not necessarily lead to the conclusion of contracts.
Many buyers seem to wait for a more favourable Euro / Dollar parity for their purchases. Along with restricted availability, limited quantities were traded for dates after the forthcoming works holidays.
In the Upland range turnovers were registered in Brazilian cotton, Central Asian sorts, West African types, and Greek descriptions.
The turnovers in LS/ELS cottons were limited to Egyptian GIZA 86.
All delivery- / shipping terms were fixed for the end of the 3rd and for the 4th quarter 2009.
