Cotton demand slows due to work holidays

15 Jul '09
1 min read

Because of the works holidays of the domestic spinning mills, demand for cotton was very limited. At the same time the quotations had clearly gone up in a large line during the last days of the reporting period.

The sporadically effected sales moved in manageable quantities as covering of the local spinning mills seems to be backed up for the most for the time after the holidays.

Turnovers in the upland range were registered as follows: Central Asian sorts and West African styles for prompt loading.

In the LS/ELS range were traded: Egyptian GIZA 70 and USA Pima for prompt.
