With immediate effect or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing the sales price for the carbonates.

- Ethylene Carbonate S
- Propylene Carbonate S
- Carbonate Mix 50
- Carbonate Mix 60

Worldwide by up to €100 per metric ton for deliveries to Europe and up to US$100 per metric ton or equivalents in local currencies for deliveries to North America or Asia.

These price adjustments are necessary to support BASF's ongoing efforts to assure highest levels of product and service quality to its customers globally in times of increasing raw material costs.

Carbonates are chemical intermediates used in a wide range of applications in the lubricants, foundry, polyurethane and coatings industries. BASF operates a world-scale plant for the mentioned Carbonates at its Verbund site in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
