The CPI for Jan-Sep 05 rose by 0.3 percent over the same period last year due mainly to dearer food, cigarettes, electricity tariffs and petrol.
The consumer price index in September 2005 rose by 0.1 percent august 2005. Prices of clothing & footwear fell by 0.4 percent due to cheaper ready-made garment and footwear.
The consumer price index in September 2005 rose by 0.6 percent compared with the same month a year ago. The CPI for the first nine months of this year rose by 0.3 percent over the same period of 2004.
