The Pigments division of Huntsman Corporation announced global price increases for all its titanium dioxide pigments. The following increases are effective January, 2010 or as applicable contracts allow:
• Europe: €100 (Euros) per tonne or $150 (USD) per tonne in dollar-based markets. • North America: $0.06 per pound (USD) and $0.06 per pound (CAD). • Asia-Pacific: $150 (USD) per tonne. • Africa, Latin America and Middle East: $150 (USD) per tonne.
These price increases are in addition to all price increases previously announced in these regions.
Huntsman's Pigments division specializes in the manufacture and marketing of titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigments that add brightness, whiteness and opacity to thousands of consumer products; from household decorative paints and industrial coatings on ocean liners, cars and steel-framed buildings, to computer housing, printing inks and sporting equipment.
