The price index in October 2005 was 96.9(2000=100), up 0.1 percent from the previous month, and down 1.0 percent from the previous year.

The consumer price index for Japan in September 2005 was 98.0(2000=100), up 0.3 percent from the previous month, and down 0.3 percent from the previous year.
