Ian McLachlan, Kevin Bell and Peter Sykes were elected to the Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) Board of Directors at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Adelaide.
A total of 5,205 shareholders voted. Of these, more than 5,100 voted by proxy.
About 200 sheep and wool producers and industry representatives attended the AGM and the preceding forum and showcase in Adelaide, South Australia.
Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) is a research and development organization that works with woolgrowers, researchers, processors and manufacturers.
AWI's activities are financed from Federal budget allocations and wool industry levies.
The Federal core allocation to AWI in 2003-2004 is around $14 million.
